Sustainability Programme Manager

Job description

Are you an experienced sustainability professional looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a Sustainability Programme Manager to lead key initiatives within the food and consumer goods industry. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on large-scale, high-impact sustainability programmes that drive real environmental and social change.

The Role
In this role, you'll be responsible for delivering key elements of sustainability programmes, with a focus on environmental data, methodologies, reporting, and governance. Working closely with industry stakeholders and technical experts, you'll drive engagement and provide data-led recommendations to inform strategy.

Key Responsibilities
You'll lead and deliver sustainability projects within agreed timelines and budgets, be responsible for analysing data and research to develop evidence-based insights and recommendations and manage and engage stakeholders across the industry to drive collaboration. In addition, you'll be integral in supporting the development of industry working groups and communication strategies and raising awareness of sustainability initiatives both internally and externally. As such, your stakeholder engagement skills will be strong, you'll have an analytical mindset and have sustainability experience, ideally within the food and consumer goods industry. It goes without saying that you'll have proven project and programme management skills and have strong organisational skills.

You'll have a degree in sustainability/environmental studies and if you have experience with Scope 3 reporting or environmental labelling, and knowledge of environmental methodologies or life cycle assessment, that would be particularly beneficial.
This role is offered on a 9-month contract basis and the offices are based in West London. They offer hybrid working so most likely 3 in the office and 2 from home.

So, if you're passionate about sustainability and are ready to put your programme management skills to the test and make an impact, send your CV to kpereira@allen-york.com.
