Senior Site Investigation Engineer

Allen & York are thrilled to be working with a leading global provider of consulting and engineering services.
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Senior Site Investigation Engineer to join the national ground investigation team based in Leeds. The national team provides ground investigation, geotechnical and geo-environmental consultancy services to a broad range of private and public sector clients.
You will be responsible for managing geotechnical and geo-environmental ground investigations, largely in the north of England and at some sites across the UK. The role also includes managing site works of larger value sites across the UK.
You'll need to hold a degree in Geology or similar with extensive experience of ground investigation, including logging of soil and rock to BS5930, supervision of site works, groundwater and ground gas monitoring. You'll have comprehensive experience of managing site works of varying size across a large range of environments. With a good understanding of health, safety and environmental management as applied to ground investigation, you'll be skilled at producing clear, concise factual reports. An excellent communicator, you'll have strong social and interpersonal skills and enjoy working as part of a team.
You will require a full, clean driving licence for this role and be happy to spend most of your time on site within the north of England. On occasion you may be required to stay away overnight.
It would be advantageous to the role if you are security cleared, experienced with the Openground suite of software, trained in SMSTS and have a solid understanding of Health and Safety documentation and project finances.
