Associate Director - Sustainability Consulting (Finance Division)

In the role of Associate Director within the Sustainability Business division you will be a part of the wider UK&I team itself part of the business's global presence. This division prides itself on being one of the fastest-growing, innovative and dynamic teams within the business.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading and driving the commercial engagement process with Private Equity (PE) firms as well as other financial institutions across the UK and Ireland. As Associate Director, you will thrive not only on creating strategic vision but creating and developing the solution for the clients across a multitude of decarbonisation metrics.
As the ideal candidate for this role, you will be based in the greater London/Southeast area. You will have in excess of 3 years of hands-on knowledge of working with Private Equity industry clients. You will have gained extensive knowledge of the PE industry, key challenges, and drivers specifically within the ESG & climate space. During your career thus far you will have gained experience of working with and at the senior executive level (Partner, Head of ESG, Fund Manager).
With a consultative approach, you will utilise your comprehensive understanding of ESG, sustainability, net zero and other climate-related topics while collaborating with multiple sales and consulting teams, to develop and create solutions that best solve client needs. As a senior member of the team it is expected you will mentor and support junior members of the sales team whereever possible.
Your track record of successfully winning new business will aid you when focusing on business development and generating business leads while ensuring the continued development of a strong pipeline is key to this role. You will be tasked with developing complex and forward-thinking decarbonization solutions that will ultimately lead to the team winning clients and projects in line with the business objectives.
Key to your success in this role is having a solid foundation in ESG, energy & sustainability reporting standards and frameworks like TCFD, CSRD, SBTi, EED, etc. This along with your knowledge of developing and deploying carbon, energy or tech decarbonisation solutions across scope 1, 2 & 3, will help you develop and execute the business's PE strategy.
The successful candidate will able to work from home, with travel into the office in London and to client meetings as required. You should also be able and prepared to undertake occasional national and international travel within EU as part of this role.
In return for your hard work and dedication, you will be offered a competitive salary based on your work history and skill set, ranging from £70,000 to £100,000 per year along with an annual bonus.
