Job description
Allen & York are delighted to be working with an established automotive business as they look to recruit a European ESG Manager to join the Team and help them navigate the landscape around CSRD and ensure compliance with this Directive.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious sustainability professional as you'll be reporting into the European CFO and you will have access to the Board and it's an exciting time to join the business as they enter a period of positive transformation. It is also a role where you can create a strong reputation for yourself.
You will have a good understanding of, and ideally practical experience, of the CSRD and emerging European sustainability regulations, so that you can support the European businesses from a practical perspective. You will be responsible for delivering training and workshops on CSRD, double materiality and ESG, you'll keep abreast of developments in the space and you'll raise awareness of sustainability issues across the company. You'll be responsible for collecting and analysing data, writing policies and procedures and working closely with the finance, legal and operations to implement initiatives.
It will be your responsibility to ensure the data is captured accurately and to ensure the company integrates the principles of double materiality to meet regulatory standards but a really key part of the role is stakeholder engagement as you'll be engaging with a range of different people, and you will have to adapt your style depending on who you're talking to.
Based in the UK just outside of London, they operate a hybrid working model, however it's likely you'll spend a lot of time in Europe meeting with internal and external stakeholders so you will be comfortable travelling in this region.
So, if you're ready to join an organisation who are subject to CSRD and you can help them be ready, as well as learn a lot and develop your skillset, contact Katie at kpereira@allen-york.com.
