Job description
Allen & York are delighted to be working with a leading telecommunications and media company again who operate in Southeast Europe as they grow their Sustainability Team and recruit for a Sustainability Specialist. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, passionate sustainability consultant, working in either the advisory or corporate sector, to work inhouse and work for a company who are committed to sustainability and who have already achieved a huge amount in the past year.
Reporting to the Sustainability Manager, you will be responsible for gathering and analysing large data sets, which will feed into the sustainability report, you'll work to ensure the company is ready for CSRD, including preparing double materiality assessments, and researching other regulations such as CSDDD. In addition, you'll help with assurance and you'll be helping with the wider sustainability strategy development.
As such, you'll have experience of working on various projects, including net zero, decarbonisation roadmaps, TCFD, TNFD, Scope 1, 2 and 3, GHG accounting and water and energy useage.
You'll get the opportunity to travel within the countries where they operate (Southeast Europe) and you'll be exposed to senior stakeholders so it's a great opportunity to learn and gain experience across the whole business. You'll possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, strong analytical skills (sound use of Excel) and it's expected you will hold an environmental/sustainability degree.
Based in Amsterdam, my client operates a flexible working policy so you can choose how often you're in the office, but obviously early on, there would be an expectation to be there frequently and you may want to be in the office a few days a week on a regular basis as it's a collaborative role with lots of stakeholder engagement.
So, if you think you tick the boxes and would like to find out more and you're either based in Amsterdam already or are willing to relocate to Amsterdam and take advantage of the 30% tax free allowance, please contact Katie at kpereira@allen-york.com.
