Allen & York are excited to be working with one of the largest environmental consulting firms in Africa. Focussed on delivering sustainable environmental and social solutions across the UK and Africa, this is a great opportunity to join a highly regarded, passionate and innovative employer.
Our client is looking for a passionate individual to manage and develop a global team of terrestrial and botany ecologists, delivering high quality services to clients and stakeholders.
The successful candidate will undertake ecological and vegetation assessments, providing technical expertise and support internally and to clients. You will also be responsible for managing your department and be involved with business development and marketing.
You'll need to hold an MSc in Zoology or similar field of study, with comprehensive experience in the relevant field, preferably within the consulting environment. With strong technical expertise, you'll be able to demonstrate your experience of conducting specialist studies and compiling and reviewing reports as well as project proposals. An excellent communicator, you'll enjoy working collaboratively with specialists from other disciplines.
You will need to hold a valid driving licence and be willing to travel throughout Africa and elsewhere for this role.
Holding a professional registration (e.g. Pr.Sci.Nat with SACNASP) would be beneficial for this role, as would experience of managing a small team.
