Senior HR Generalist - International Operations
Location: Johannesburg, Gaborone, Dar es Salaam, London, Bamako, Jersey | Full-Time | Permanent
Are you an experienced HR professional with a passion for working across borders and cultures? We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior HR Generalist to support international HR functions across multiple jurisdictions including the UK, USA, West Africa, and beyond.
This role plays a critical part in shaping and delivering HR strategies that align with global business objectives while remaining compliant with local legislation. You will act as a key partner to international leadership, offering insight and support on all areas of human resources from employee relations and talent acquisition to performance management and organizational development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior leaders across global offices to deliver HR strategies that drive business success.
- Ensure local HR practices align with international policies and meet regional compliance requirements.
- Lead initiatives across performance management, engagement, compensation reviews, and talent development.
- Manage complex employee relations issues and collaborate with local legal advisors where necessary.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning for international hires.
- Champion the use of data-driven insights to improve HR processes and decision-making.
About You:
- Minimum 8 years' HR experience, including 3+ years supporting international operations.
- Strong understanding of employment legislation in jurisdictions such as South Africa, UK, Jersey, Cote D'Ivoire, and Mali.
- Fluent in both French and English.
- Skilled in working across cultures, time zones, and diverse teams.
- A collaborative, proactive problem solver with excellent communication and project management skills.
- Degree in Human Resources or related field; international HR certifications (e.g., CIPD, SHRM) a plus.
