Allen & York are proud to be supporting a charity in appointing a new role to deliver a strong Health & Safety Management system across the business who operate across the south of England from their HQ in Hampshire.
The organisation provides critical support for families, children and young adults offering care where might not be possible without this charities essential work.
This role, reporting to the Head of People, will ensure the charity has a robust Health and Safety system in place to provide continuous improvement as well ensuring compliance with legislation and then address any issues to rectify as appropriate.
The charity work across a number of facilities including Head office, hospice care sites and other facilities and this role will play a crucial part in assessing and identifying hazards and risks and providing recommendations as necessary.
The role will act as the in-house expert for the charity and will work closely with key stakeholders across the business providing expert advice and build a safety culture to raise the profile of Safety across the organisation maintaining accurate records of training, inspections and incidents.
Candidates should have a background ideally in property or facilities, ideally in a charitable or retail background with a demonstrable track record of Health and Safety management or advice.
This role is offered on a part time basis with flexibility across 3 days per week or more to suit candidates' life balance. This role would suit parents returning to work and can fit in with school pick up or self-employed professionals wishing to maintain regular work.
