If you are a skilled and motivated Maintenance Engineer looking for your next challenge this role could suit you as you'll play a crucial role in maintaining and improving the reliability of the manufacturing plant.
In this role, you will provide day-to-day maintenance support to the manufacturing plant, ensuring the reliability and continued operation of both static and rotating equipment. You will work closely with production teams, maintenance supervisors, engineers, and planners to diagnose faults, improve plant reliability, and ensure repairs are conducted in compliance with industry codes and safety standards.
As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team on a complex chemical manufacturing site, you will demonstrate a strong understanding of occupational and process safety while driving continuous improvement in maintenance strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical engineering support to plant personnel.
Offer expert input into inspection findings and ensure assets remain fit for service.
Support maintenance supervisors with high-level troubleshooting.
Manage small projects (capital or expense) and contribute to budget planning.
Identify cost-saving opportunities within maintenance operations.
Perform engineering design calculations and assist with reactive maintenance repairs.
Develop statements of work (SOW) to address long-term reliability issues.
Improve the execution of scheduled maintenance tasks.
Revise and create maintenance procedures to enhance efficiency.
To succeed in this role, you'll be a proactive problem-solver with a passion for maintenance excellence. Candidates will need to have A Mechanical Engineering degree (ideally Chartered), good knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and experience in a chemical or petrochemical manufacturing environment or similar with a focus on high-standard maintenance engineering.
