About Our Client:
Our client is a leading company specializing in renewable energy technology. Their commitment is to deliver innovative solutions that address the growing demand for sustainable energy. They are working on a pioneering project that transforms waste material into hydrogen, a clean energy source. They are seeking a Visual Basic Developer to join their dynamic team and develop a robust interface to monitor their processes in real time.
Job Description:
The ideal candidate will be a proficient Visual Basic Developer with experience in creating effective visual interfaces. You will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of a real-time monitoring software for our waste to hydrogen production plant. While you will receive training on their specific technology, your primary task will be overseeing the creation and maintenance of our real-time monitoring software.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the team of engineers and data scientists to understand project requirements and goals
Design, develop, and deploy a real-time monitoring system using Visual Basic
Leverage Visual Basic to pull data from the operational plant and translate it into an accessible and insightful visual interface
Troubleshoot and optimize the software to ensure operational efficiency
Continually learn about the latest industry standards and technologies to keep the interface updated
Document all procedures and methodologies used in carrying out tasks
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Strong proficiency in Visual Basic programming and software development
Experience with real-time data collection and processing
Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to work on-site at the Nottingham office
Nice to Have:
Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the renewable energy sector
Experience with other programming languages or software development tools
Knowledge or interest in sustainable energy systems or waste management
