Sustainable Business Consultants - Resource Efficiency & Circular Economy
Our client is a World-leading company in the Resource Efficiency space that is passionate about delivering innovative solutions for businesses. They are looking for a Business Consultant to be based at their Birmingham office full-time at the leading edge of the practical implementation of a circular economy.
The Business Consultant will have responsibility for delivering business support on resource efficiency issues, helping business turn their wastes into a valuable resource. Working work cross-sector and/or focusing on construction and infrastructure. The successful candidate will be a results-driven self-starter with the self-discipline to work independently.
Essential skills are as follows:
- Well-versed in environmental issues and business conditions across industry sectors in the UK or Europe.
- Experienced in delivering business support on resource efficiency and/or related sustainability issues.
- Experienced managing customer relationships.
- A good networker with an established professional network in the UK or Europe.
- Strong team worker with excellent communication skills.
- Able to write clear and concise reports.
- Delivers engaging presentations to a business audience.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in a technology or industry-related field.
- Hold a full driver's licence and have access to own car.
- Previous experience with the construction sector (site licenses, exemptions, and the CL:AIRE regime) and foreign language skills are a distinct advantage.
Core activities are expected to be as follows:
- Project delivery of business opportunities through industrial symbiosis (circular economy, resource efficiency, and net zero led).
- Working across multiple industrial sectors as part of a team.
- Assisting industry to benefit from improved resource efficiency by delivering tailored advice, audits and training.
- Client facing, engaging with decision makers from the boardroom to the factory floor.
- Delivering presentations to industry audiences to promote the activities of International Synergies.
- Extensive UK travel, locally in the greater Birmingham area and more widely in the UK.
- Potential development opportunity to be involved in overseas project delivery.
Must be currently based in the UK, with permission to work in the UK.
Indicative salary range is £40k, dependant on experience, with a company pension, health care and life assurance benefits.
