Principal/ Associate Marine Consultant

Allen & York are thrilled to be working with a highly respected technology-focussed marine science consultancy, specialising in marine fauna, underwater-sound monitoring, acoustical and statistical modelling. Our client is looking for a commercially focussed Principal/ Associate Consultant to join the consulting team. In this dual role, the successful candidate will help build profitable partnerships, explore new business opportunities, and contribute to the preparation and submission of business proposals and tenders. Alongside this, you'll work with a team of Marine Consultants and senior scientists, providing advice for environmental impact assessments, licencing and/or equipment specifications and deployment methods.
You'll need to hold a degree in a relevant business, economics or environmental discipline together with solid relevant commercial experience and offshore fieldwork experience (e.g. MMO/PAM/Environmental Scientist). You'll be commercially aware, with the skills to manage people and teams. An excellent communicator, you'll have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work on your initiative and effectively prioritise your workload, working to tight deadlines.
Knowledge and experience of marine mammal surveys, mitigation and ornithology, together with an understanding of intellectual property requirements would be advantageous to this role.
