Job description
Consultant Ecologist, Homebased (Wales/West England)
Competitive Salary
Homebased, UK
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced ecologist to join a dynamic and forward-thinking environmental consultancy. This role offers the chance to work on a variety of projects across diverse landscapes, supporting clients in delivering sustainable and environmentally responsible solutions.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ecological surveys, impact assessments, and habitat management plans, ensuring compliance with environmental legislation and best practices. Responsibilities include conducting fieldwork, writing reports, liaising with stakeholders, and providing expert advice on ecological matters. A strong understanding of UK wildlife legislation and protected species surveys is essential.
This position is ideal for a motivated individual with experience in ecology, a relevant degree, and a passion for conservation. Holding a protected species licence would be advantageous, as would membership in a professional body such as CIEEM. The ability to manage multiple projects, communicate effectively, and work both independently and as part of a team is crucial.
Offering a competitive salary, professional development opportunities, and the chance to make a tangible impact on environmental sustainability, this role is perfect for an ecologist looking to advance their career. If you are enthusiastic about protecting and enhancing biodiversity while working in a collaborative and supportive environment, this is the opportunity for you.
